High-Resolution CT Neck Anatomy: 1.5 mm Multiplanar Images | Premium Subscription Access

Explore our advanced CT neck anatomy library, featuring high-resolution anatomical images reconstructed in axial, coronal and sagittal planes. This comprehensive learning module has been developed using thin-slice CT imaging and detailed multiplanar reconstructions to demonstrate clinically realistic cross-sectional anatomy of the neck.

The CT neck anatomy section covers the major anatomical structures extending from the skull base to the thoracic inlet. These include the pharynx, larynx, oral cavity, tongue, floor of the mouth, salivary glands, thyroid gland, parathyroid region, cervical lymph node levels, carotid arteries, jugular veins, cervical muscles, fascial spaces, vertebral column, spinal canal and upper airway.

The module also demonstrates important deep neck spaces and their anatomical relationships, including the parapharyngeal, retropharyngeal, prevertebral, carotid, masticator, submandibular, sublingual and visceral spaces. These regions can be difficult to understand on routine imaging, so the module is designed to make complex neck anatomy clearer and easier to interpret.

Each CT image is manually labelled slice by slice in a textbook-style format, without the use of AI auto-labelling tools. This approach helps preserve anatomical accuracy and provides a reliable educational reference for radiologists, ENT surgeons, head and neck surgeons, oncologists, radiology trainees, reporting radiographers and students learning cross-sectional anatomy.

The labelled images are displayed within a smooth interactive scroller, allowing users to move naturally through the neck in the same way they would review a clinical CT examination. The platform works on desktop and mobile devices, while the full-screen viewer enables detailed review of small anatomical structures.

The toolbar allows users to switch between axial, coronal and sagittal planes and search for specific structures using voice or text search. This helps users quickly locate important landmarks such as the carotid space, internal jugular vein, pharyngeal constrictor muscles, epiglottis, vocal cords, thyroid cartilage, cricoid cartilage, cervical lymph nodes and deep neck spaces.

The side zoom tool provides up to 10× magnification without loss of image quality, helping users examine fine anatomical details and understand the relationships between vessels, muscles, glands, airway structures, bones and fascial compartments.

This module is supported by dynamic Level 1 and Level 2 quizzes that generate new questions during each session. These interactive assessments help users actively revise, test their knowledge and retain complex CT neck anatomy.
